* Enzo Mari (*1932 in Novara, Italy) studied art and literature at the Accademia di Brera in Milan. In 1952, he opened his own design studio, where he worked for over sixty years. He taught at the Società Umanitaria in Milan from 1963 to 1966 and subsequently taught both at home and abroad.
Mari was interested in the everyday, theoretical role of designers and objects, as well as the psychology of visual perception. He experimented with a variety of visual arts, driven by the function and aesthetics of materials.
