A fine pair candelabras designed by Elis Bergh. Elis, or Elias which was his real name, 1881-1954 was a great designer and architect. He was represented in the 1925 Paris exhibition with items designed for C G Hallbergs and a pair like this was represented as well. During his long career as designer he collaborated and designed items for C G Hallbergs, Böhlmarks lamp factory, Pukebergs glass, he was also the factory manager for Herman Bergmans art foundry. He became the artistic head designer for Kosta Boda in 1928 and continued as that, until his retirement in 1950. He is most famous for his designed glass lamps and is considered one of the greatest Swedish designers in that area.
The candelabras are in great vintage condition with only minor wear. We have 3 pairs available. The candelabras measure 27 cm in height, 24 cm wide and the base has a diameter of 13 cm.
They are marked to the base with a
C G Hallberg stamp.
