Recently introduced, this new Samarkand style floral rug is hand knotted with a lustrous silk. The rug’s detailed patterns produce an air of happiness in a room with a colorful pattern in red-and-yellow flowers with green leaves and stems complementing the cheerful floral design. While most of the design is contained in the 10’3 x 13’7 center area, there are thin red-line borders that appear around the rug. The innermost border comprises a single row of flowers that alternate between those with red petals and others with yellow-and-red petals. A middle border is the widest of the three and features a green vine-like diamond pattern. Within each space created by the diamond, a red flower is contained. The outermost border includes red flowers with blue and yellow accents with green leaves. This elegant rug would be ideal for a master suite, though it lends itself to a grand dining room and projects welcoming a European sense of classic, regal air as well.
