A remarkable Japanese ikebana vase crafted by ceramic artist Katori Hoichi (香取甫市). This piece bridges the timeless tradition of ikebana vessels with the modern aesthetics of the Shōwa period.

Dimensions: height 23 cm, diameter 22 cm. Condition: excellent.

The spherical form carries a strong, understated presence, covered in a textured greenish-grey glaze. A sky-blue band outlined in white runs horizontally across the body, adding a graphic, contemporary element. The interplay between earthy surface and vivid blue line gives the vase both serenity and energy – perfect for ikebana arrangements or as a stand-alone art object.
