Restored Josephinian writing secretary, writing chest of drawers from around 1800 Dimensions: Height x Width x Depth 100 x 127 x 60 For sale is a recently restored/renovated Biedermeier 4-drawer chest of drawers with writing function, a writing chest of drawers that is particularly magnificently and practically crafted. Particularly distinctive and striking is the walnut veneer, which is reflected in the overall appearance of the chest of drawers and extends over all 4 drawers and the secretary section. By folding out the first panel, the secretary section with its elegant 6 small drawers becomes accessible. The writing surface of the secretary has wonderful makettery/inlay – see photos. The 4 drawers of the writing chest of drawers run smoothly and can be locked with a key! Also particularly noteworthy are the original brass fittings – one has been replaced. The inside of the chest of drawers is sanded and smells great! This secretary is clean, stable and in a restored, hand-polished shellac condition.
