A dynamic sculpture with these two opposing forces, accentuated by the diagonal composition. This is definitely one of my favorite sculptures!
Patina altered in certain places following repeated rubbing over nearly a century, otherwise in good general condition.
Signed on the terrace “Jean Verschneider” and foundry stamp “Les Neveux de Jules Lehmann à Paris” on the edge.
Excellent quality.
France, circa 1925.
