Perhaps the most popular X-rated movie of all time, Gerard Damiano’s 1972 sexploitation classic ‘Deep Throat’ was one of the first pornographic films to include a plot and character development. Banned in the UK and subject to obscenity trials in the US, the film received so much mainstream attention that it sparked the “porno chic” trend and made Linda Lovelace a star. This scarce poster with American flag design was issued for the first release of the film in France in 1975.
