Magnificent pendant featuring a superb round faceted amethyst with subtle blue highlights that vary depending on the light. The central stone is surrounded by delicate marcasite stones, set in a finely openworked solid silver frame.

This piece bears the hallmark of Maurice Lespous: an open hand and the letters ML, a renowned French silversmith active in Paris in the 1920s and 1930s. He is known for his refined Art Deco creations and is said to have exhibited at the famous International Exhibition of Decorative Arts in Paris in 1925, the event that gave birth to the Art Deco movement. His boutique, “MAISON MAURICE LESPOUS,” was located in Paris at 76 rue Charlot.
