The Paris-based Bayard company is a descendant of Duverdrey & Bloquel, founded by Albert Villon in 1867 in St. Nicholas D’Aliermont, northern France. Over the following decades, the company changed its name to Bayard and produced many models of clocks – including traditional travel clocks with solid brass cases and beveled glass fronts, sides and backs, and several models with visible escapements.
