Pamono Antique Pottery Wesleyan Chapel Money Box with Helen Nash Windsor Inscription, 1850s> Trunks Crates & Baskets

Antique pottery money bank in the form of a Wesleyan Chapel located in Mexborough Yorkshire. The piece is printed with the name Helen Nash Windsor in capital letters on the front between the two red doors. Flanked on each front corner of the building is a man and a woman. The front, back and side elevations of the house all have modelled brickwork and enamelled in white, the tiled roof in blue with yellow detail around the windows and roof.

There is a slit in the back of the roof for saving the coins.

The building is standing in Mexborough but is sadly no longer a chapel.

In good condition, without any repairs or restorations. Crazing is present.

It appears that these ‘chapels’ were customised pieces with the name, and sometimes town, and sometimes the date, made for children to save their money. So each one is unique. Some were produced with cherubs on each corner.
