A large vintage garden gnome manufactured by Heissner in Germany, ca. 1950s. Good used vintage condition with signs of wear commensurate with age. Some rubbed areas and partially painted over. Rake and Bucket replaced. Overall with great original patina. Please see pictures. Traditionally, the garden figures represented male gnomes wearing red pointed caps and carrying garden tools, typically between one and two feet tall and used in Europe as decoration for bourgeois gardens. Measures: Width: 5.51″ (14 cm) Height: 15.35″ (39 cm) Depth: 3.94″ (10 cm)
