Patricia Urquiola Dudet Sofa Manufactured by Cassina 70S-STYLE RELAXATION Dudet transfers to a two-seat settee the versatile, sophisticated design of the chair in the same family designed by Patricia Urquiola. Available in one size only, the settee is defined by three upholstered elements: a roomy seat cushion and two sinuous tubular supports that, in one continuous line, create legs, armrests and backrest. Designed to be easily disassembled, Dudet embodies a conscious soul. The metal structure can be separated from the polyurethane foam padding – produced with a percentage of polyols derived from biological sources – to facilitate recycling of the materials. Lives and works in Milan. She attended the University of Architecture at Madrid Polytechnic and Milan Polytechnic, where she graduated in 1989 with Achille Castiglioni. Assistant lecturer to Achille Castiglioni and Eugenio Bettinelli in Milan and Paris, responsible for the new product development office of DePadova, working with Vico Magistretti, head of Lissoni Associati’s design group. In 2001 she opened her own studio working on product design, architecture, and installations. Amongst her last projects of architecture.
