Hot Pamono 19th Century Napoleon III Pendulum Clock, 1890s

Museale Pendulum clock “Regulateur de parquet” after Jean-Henri Riesener Napoleon III, Paris, circa 1850-1880. A model by Jean-Henri Riesener (Master 1768). Inventory number OA of the Louvre Museum 19th century. Featuring extremely finely chiselled, very decorative, fire-gilt bronze fittings. This rare and costly pendulum clock presents an amaranth, bergahorn, ebony and thread inscriptions so called “Regulateur de parquet” The back or inside sides of the doors are veneered with king’s wood The white enamelled dial shows two finely chiselled hands The hours are in Roman numerals And the minutes in Arabic figures, in a gilded, gilded decor three winged putti playing on clouds with garlands The pendulum clock is richly decorated with gilded bronze The dial and each panel is bordered by an elegant frieze of palms and pearls The upper part of the panel is decorated with foliage, palm trees, garlands and flowers, each corner decorated with flower decoration, the front is adorned with a mask of the Apollo (sun symbol), decorated with laurel wreaths Flower vase on ebony, including scrolls, flowers, G Garlic and fillers and musical instruments. The corners are accentuated by pearls, acanthus leaves, ribbons and rejuvenating foliage, framed by gilded ropes and lions’ feet. The feet rest on their own base. Decorated with foliage and foliage and flower buds, ending on 4 conical feet with acanthus leaves. (R-25). Wear consistent with age and use.
